Longing for Spring!

We've been either snowed in or clouded in for what feels like weeks now, so can you blame us that we're side-eyeing the bright pops of color offered up by Kelbourne Woolens' Perennial? We know this blend of 60% superwash Merion, 25% Suri alpaca and 15% nylon offers will live up to its name! It's exceptionally soft and can be hand- or machine-washed. The stunning color palette features neutrals, muted shades, and brights that all coordinate with one another for beautiful shawls and socks.

Available in both full-sized (497 yds) and mini-skeins (49 yds), we've rustled up a couple of projects for you that highlight Perennial's welcome jolts of color.

First up is Ambah O'Brien's Fruit Tingles Shawl,
interspersing relaxing-to-knit garter rows with bands of color...a perfect use for the little Perennial minis!

You can find the pattern for Fruit Tingles right here. The Fruit Tingles shawl requires two full-size skeins along with six minis in different colors.

We also love Summer Lee's Little Dots Socks, which offer enough visual vitamin C to prevent scurvy! These cuties are pure joy. Knit cuff down, this beginner-friendly colorwork pattern is a relaxing knit that allows you to explore endless color palette ideas.

The Little Dots pattern is right here.  Little Dots requires one full size skein along with a minimum of two minis...or however many different dot colors you select.

You can find both sizes of Perennial right here.

Who's Got the Fever for the Flavor of a Festival?

Middle Tennessee is lucky enough to have not one but two exciting yarn and fiber festivals to cap off the winter and kick off spring this year...and they're close enough together that you can make a plan to attend both with just one fuel fill-up! Keep reading and have your calendar-marking pen handy!

Middle Tennessee Fiber Festival: Dickson, Tennessee

We've been longtime fans of the Middle Tennessee Fiber Festival, which pops up at the Dickson County Fairgrounds on Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8. We even took the late, great Yarn Bus out there a couple of times and had a wonderful time vending. This festival has a lovely local flair, with a full slate of workshops, 50+ vendors and tons of charm!

Admission is free; more details (as well as the complete list of vendors) can be found right here.

Nash Yarn Fest: Nashville, Tennessee

New to the festival scene is the very next weekend's Nash Yarn Fest, put on by our friends from Modern Daily Knitting. Running Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15 at the Nashville Fairgrounds, this one features 80+ vendors, food trucks and even a little music! Haus of Yarn will be a vendor at Nash Yarn Fest, with some hyper-local surprises in store...but you'll have to stop by the booth to find out more!

Ticket prices and details (as well as the complete list of vendors) can be found right here. The MDK ladies have a lot cooked up; definitely click that link and get a load of the whole shebang.
