Resolve to Get Organized!

With the new year comes a resolution; it's unavoidable. If yours is to "get organized," we've got some ideas for you.

We're jazzed by these new Lykke needle storage cases, which come in a couple of different configurations: full- and travel-sized. Constructed from dark blue durable denim and camel-hued vegan leather, these are built to last!

  • 1. The 3.5" Oxford Zipper case (for short needle tips) has a zipper closure, loops for needles and hooks, a pocket for accessories and cords, and an exterior pocket with a magnetic closure
  • 2. The 5" Oxford Zipper case (for 5" tips) has a zipper closure, loops for needles and hooks, a pocket for accessories and cords, and an exterior pocket with a magnetic closure
  • 3. The small Weekender Magnetic Flap case has a magnetic flap and perfect little slip-in pockets. Suitable for 3.5" needles, plus cords, and accessories or small crochet hooks, it's perfect for taking just what you need on a little trip
  • 4. The large Weekender Magnetic Flap case has a magnetic flap and pockets for your goodies. Accommodates 5" inch needles, plus cords and accessories -- a 6" crochet hook will even fit. Great for trips!

 More Organizing...with Thread and Maple

Designed by knitters for knitters, Thread and Maple's ingenious system of needle binders and various "pages" offers a chic, luxurious option for your needle storage needs. Choose your Thread & Maple Needle Binder first (Regular or Jumbo), then customize your binder with various pages specific to your personal needle collection. There are also cable pages, notions pages and "catch-all" pages for various bits and bobs that don't quite fit in anywhere else.

The entire system is thoughtfully designed and each page can be taken out of the binder and folded in half for easy, on-the-go carrying, or can be inserted as pages into your Needle Binder, to keep your collection together. Y'all, this is a game-changer.

Shop Thread & Maple HERE!  You're gonna love these things.

New Month = New Monthly Make!

For January's make, we'll be working on mittens! Our all-time favorite mitten pattern is SuBeran's Mittens from designer Theresa Gaffey, which asks you to hold a strand of fingering weight yarn along with a light mohair strand to make these delightful, fuzzy hand-warmers!
We worked our pair with Koigu KPM - an incredible, hand-painted, 100% Merino wool fingering weight yarn - held with a strand of Tynn Silk Mohair. To make your own, you'll need a single skein of each. Shop all of the gorgeous shades of Koigu HERE and Tynn SIlk Mohair HERE. The SuBeran's Mittens pattern is right HERE!If you're local to the Middle Tennessee area, feel free to join us Monday, January 6th at 11am for The Monthly Make meet-up!
