Desperate Housewife Bundle!

My goodness! We recently got a request to "put together a yarn bundle" for the new Desperate Housewife Cardigan pattern that Melanie Berg just released, so we went to work our magic immediately and - while we put together some beautiful combos - we ultimately decided that the colors Melanie herself used were, well, perfect.

Our order for that exact combination of Manos del Uruguay Alpaca Heather arrived, bundles were assembled, and then EVERY. LAST. BUNDLE. SOLD. But no worries! We ordered more and now there are...MORE BUNDLES available! YAY!!!

The Desperate Housewife cardigan is a top-down, one-piece cardigan with a circular yoke, ideal for lounging about or just throwing on when you need a splash of color! We know it's still hot as blazes out there, but if you get this one on your needles now, you'll be ready when fall finally shows up.

Shop Desperate Housewife yarn bundles HERE! You'll need both the 7 Color Yarn Pack along with a Main Color of your choice to complete your cardigan. Sizing information and Main Color skein quantities needed are at that link!

Manos del Uruguay Alpaca Heather is sport weight, 70% Wool/30% Alpaca; Toast, Beige and Grey are undyed, the naturally-colored alpaca combined with wool creates a heathery sport-weight yarn. When those three undyed colors - Toast, Beige and Grey - are overdyed with Manos’ kettle-dyed semi-solid colors, the results create rich, subtle tones. The 7-Color Yarn Pack contains Cinnamon, Lagoon, Bark, Goji Berry, Honeycomb, Bing Cherry and Celery.

The pattern for the Desperate Housewife Cardigan is available for purchase on Ravelry. You can find that HERE!

New for Fall!

We're huge fans of worsted weight socks around here. We love wearing them around the house, with rain boots, or even with our Birkenstocks come early fall! We especially love them because they're quick to knit, which makes them a perfect project for "gift knitting." We were a little bummed when our go-to worsted weight sock line lost its US Distributor, but we're thrilled to report that we've located a new one: Universal Yarns Deluxe Stripes (75% SW Wool/25% Nylon, 218 yards/skein). Take a look at that Poinsettia colorway (!!!)...we're envisioning adorable sock-centric family photos for the Christmas card!

Need some pattern inspiration? We found this pattern (free on Ravelry) that's sized for children all the way up to a men's large!

Shop the fun new Deluxe Stripes HERE! A single skein is enough to complete the child's size, three skeins is enough to yield two pairs of the women's sizes and two skeins are required for the men's large!
