2020 YEARLONG KNITALONG! (Which, uh, technically starts in 2019)

Join us next Monday, November 4th, from 11-noon or Saturday, November 9th, from 11-noon for the kick-off party revealing the twelve projects featured in the new Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong!

You read that correctly: we now have a Saturday session for each month's Knitalong! We've long wanted to have a second session of the Knitalong in addition to its usual Monday meeting for those of you who haven't been able to make it on a weekday; we hope to see your faces on those Saturdays! And keep in mind that if you attend the Monday session, you can always double-dip and come again on Saturday for that extra little bit of guidance!

The Haus of Yarn team has secretly been knitting and testing patterns for this year's Knitalong, and we can finally start talking about them! A fresh new collection of knitalong projects has been carefully selected, each one different and specifically chosen to enhance and build on the skillset you already have. Whether you’re new to knitting or an advanced expert, you’ll find something new and exciting to tackle each month, and at the end of the year, you’ll have a beautiful collection of hand-knit heirlooms.

THE DETAILS

In the last emailed Haus of Yarn newsletter of each month, we’ll announce the project for the following month, giving you plenty of time to swing by the shop to make your yarn decisions and stock up on any necessary supplies. And because we know that some of you like to work ahead, we’ve listed the entire year’s schedule of projects in the accompanying graphic, but we've got finished samples in the store, so do drop by on Monday the 4th or Saturday the 9th for the kickoff!

Attendance for Knitalong meet-ups is always free, and you don’t need to worry about signing up in advance. Just show up!

We've always selected quick, gift-worthy projects for the months of November and December and continuing with that tradition, we'll begin with the Mistake Rib Beanie and Scarf. We've found that if you have a fella in your life who's knit-worthy, it's a great go-to project!

We Haven't Forgotten the Afghan Knitalong!

If you’re working on the Afghan Block-a-Month Knitalong, we meet at 1pm on those same Mondays and Saturdays! We'll be working from the trusty Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan Knit-A-Long book, written by our fearless founder Carolyn Smith. With 48 blocks to choose from, you have a lot of leeway to make exactly the afghan you want!
