Modern Cotton DK

New in the Store: DK-Weight Modern Cotton!

The worsted-weight version of Modern Cotton has been a beloved presence at Haus for a long time now, so we're thrilled to announce that we've added its DK-weight cousin to our shelves! Perfect for warmer-weather garments, it's got the same soft blend of pima cotton and modal rayon as the worsted version, and it drapes beautifully. It's also a great alternative for wool-sensitive folks.

A great project that utilizes it is the Anniu Tee from designer Bristol Ivy. It's constructed in two pieces on the bias, with a drop-stitch detail. You can knit it in any of twenty-five glorious solid colors -- neutrals to pastels to brights...whatever, just get this one on your needles now!

The pattern is designed to have between 4-6" of positive ease. Sizes 36, 40, 44 and 48 require three skeins, sizes 52, 56, 60 and 64 require four. At $9/skein, this sweater will run you either $27 or $36...which is a Modern Cotton-pickin' miracle!

*Color shown is 6657 Lippit

March Knitalong

Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong: March Edition!!

Join us in the store today, Monday, March 5th, at 11:00 am for March's Yearlong Knitalong project! This time around, we'll be working on the Tracks at Union Station! Designed by Haus sample knitter extraordinaire, Jo Strong, this sumptuous wrap is inspired by the Romanesque architecture of one of Music City's most famous landmarks, knit in Brooklyn Tweed Arbor, a DK-weight yarn, worsted spun for strength and stitch definition and dyed in a nuanced palette of 30 colors. You'll need four skeins to complete the project.

Not interested in making Tracks? You can still join the Yearlong Knitalong with an afghan block pattern from the Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan book. The Block-a-Month Knitalong meets at 1:00 pm today, Monday, March 5th.

Remember: attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free! As a genuine 'thank you!' for your participation, all materials purchased at Haus of Yarn that relate directly to each month's knitalong will qualify for double stamps on our Haus of Yarn Reward Card. DOUBLE STAMPS! We really do appreciate your participation and want to encourage as many of you to make as many of the monthly projects as possible. Earning double stamps will make it that much easier!

Not local? No worries! Join the Yearlong Knitalong virtually. Click here to join our group and come knit along with us!

We'd love to see your projects! In process or completed...if you're on Instagram, join in anytime with #yearlongknitalong and #hausofyarntn. Happy shopping, y'all!
