Our Sincerest Thanks

This past week hasn't been easy.  Every day as we opened the doors to the shop, we've each taken a deep breath and said quietly to ourselves, "we can do this -- Carolyn would have wanted us to do this."  The entire Haus group would like to thank you for the cards, the flowers, the lovely baked goodies, the kind words both in person and on social media, and for the many of you who felt compelled to come visit the shop for the sole reason of being with us.  Some of you came and bought a skein of red yarn in memory of Carolyn -- that was unexpected...and quite honestly, left us speechless each and every time.

Our sweet little shop will carry on, it was Carolyn's legacy and will continue to be so.

Alicia Plummer Headwinds Shawl

To honor our dear friend Carolyn, we will be hosting a knitalong in her honor. Designer Alicia Plummer has generously donated her Headwinds Shawl pattern to anyone who wants to participate through Haus of Yarn (just come into the shop, select your yarn, and you'll get a code to download the pattern for free).  Alicia reached out to us after hearing of Carolyn's passing and although she neither met Carolyn nor visited our shop, hearing the news of our loss left her heart heavy.  Carolyn loved to knit shawls to experiment with new yarns and techniques - and she loved the brief time commitment required to finish one! - so Alicia's Headwinds Shawl was selected specifically for this knitalong.  Most of us will be using red yarn, since it was her favorite.  There'll be no official start date nor end date...begin whenever the mood strikes!

After Christmas Sale

SALE! SALE! SALE!

Join us Saturday, December 26th for a once-a-year treat!  Throughout the year, various lines of yarn are pulled from the wall and packed away for what has become a tradition: our annual After Christmas Sale! Selected yarns are 50% off and are sure to fly out the door. We open at 10am, so come early for the best selection!

A Note from Christina, Organizer of Threads of Kindness:

Hello everyone...I'd like to invite you to join a group that is very near to my heart as I know it is for many of you.  We are working to provide hospice patients in middle Tennessee with a blanket or shawl for a little comfort at a time when they may most need it and preemie blankets and hats to many of the Nashville's Neo-Natal units.  If you think this giving opportunity may be right for you, please reach out to us.  We are fortunate to have generous yarn donations from Haus of Yarn helping us along our way and would love to share our stash with you.
