Yearlong Knitalong: November | Loop Mitts

It's time for November's installment of the Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong

What We're Making

We'll be working on Loop Mitts, designed in-house by Ms. Shayron for our 2020-2021 Yearlong Knitalong. These are sized for 6 1/2" - 7 1/2" and 7 1/2" - 8 1/2" palm circumference.

Construction begins at the cuff with an intriguing Loop Stitch for the desired cuff length. Make them in two colors like our sample or a single color ~ either way, they're adorable!

We like mitts made from a rugged, wool yarn. Try them using Kelbourne Woolens Germantown, Ella Rae Classic Wool, Jarbo Garn Raggi or Plymouth Yarns Homestead! One skein each of two colors is plenty! And we have heavy cardstock copies of the pattern available here!

Peeeps Neck Noodle

We are so thrilled that there's finally a chill in the air! It means we can start wearing all of our hand knits, starting with this fabulous cowl! The Neck Noodle Cowl (yup, we said "Neck Noodle") is an easy pattern - just knits and purls worked flat, then twisted and seamed for a Mobius look. This one is a quick knit where you'll hold two strands together using a straight or circular US 11 needle; whichever you have on hand will work beautifully. We have seven kits for you to choose from; our sample is worked up in Charred Cotton Candy. Click HERE to shop them all! Each kit includes two skeins of Peeeps from Jade Sapphire - a ridiculously soft blend of 40% cashmere and 60% wool - and the pattern is also included with each kit!
