Happy New Year!!

All of us at Haus wish you all a peaceful New Year's Eve and Day - we'll be closed both days, catching up on our knitting and crocheting, probably with our feet on the ottoman, surrounded by family. We hope you'll be ringing in the new year in your own perfect way as well.  However you celebrate, here's to a happy and prosperous new year, filled with peace, love, and light!

Yearlong Knitalong: January!

Join us next Monday, January 7th, from 11:00 am until noon for January's installment of the Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong; we'll be working on the Top Down Swing Pullover from Knitting Pure & Simple. Worked in worsted weight yarn, this one is a perfect "first sweater" project for those of you who've never knit one - if you can knit and purl, you can make this sweater! We love the flattering flared silhouette and - since it's both top down and knit in one piece - short of weaving in some ends, there's very little pesky finishing to do!

Yarn Suggestions: We have three (!!!) samples of the Top Down Swing Pullover on display in the shop; two are knit in wool - Homestead and Tara Tweed. Our third sample is in Good Earth, a cotton/linen blend.

For those of you working on (or wanting to start!) a block from our Afghan Block-a -Month Book, we'll be meeting at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 7th!
