World Wide Knit in Public Day!

World Wide Knit in Public Day is this Saturday, June 9th! This is the largest knitter-run event in the world and has been going on since 2005, with the sole goal of having knitters come together in public and enjoy each other's company. Knit and Crochet Tennessee is hosting meet-ups; if you're interested, join in on the fun at one of the following locations: the food courts at Cool Springs Galleria, Rivergate Mall and Opry Mills, the Smyrna and Bellevue Panera restaurants and the Inglewood branch of the Nashville Public Library. Pick which one is closest to you and meet there from 10 am - 12 pm. Happy Knitting, Y'all!

Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong: June Edition!!

Join us in the store today --  Monday, June 4th -- at 11:00 am for June's Yearlong Knitalong project! This time around, we'll be working on one of our favs, the Rose City Rollers. These are an easy, roll-top ankle sock pattern perfect for summer knitting. Knit from the top down, with a traditional heel flap and heel turn, and are available in three size options.

Choose a skein of Plymouth Happy Feet Splash (our sample is in #104 Autumn), a soft blend of merino and nylon - for added strength - hand-dyed with bright, colorful dyes that lend a funky vibe to your project. Or perhaps a skein of Smooth Sock from Junkyarn, a hand-dyed yarn in a fantastic palette of pop-culture-inspired colorways. We're pretty sure your feet will be as thrilled with this yarn as we are!

Not interested in making the Rose City Rollers? You can still join the Yearlong Knitalong with an afghan block pattern from the Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan book. The Block-a-Month Knitalong meets at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 4th (that's today!).

Remember: attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free! As a genuine 'thank you!' for your participation, all materials purchased at Haus of Yarn that relate directly to each month's knitalong will qualify for double stamps on our Haus of Yarn Reward Card. DOUBLE STAMPS! We really do appreciate your participation and want to encourage as many of you to make as many of the monthly projects as possible. Earning double stamps will make it that much easier!

Not local? No worries! Join the Yearlong Knitalong virtually. Click here to join our group and come knit along with us!

We'd love to see your projects! In process or completed...if you're on Instagram, join in anytime with #yearlongknitalong and #hausofyarntn.

Ongoing: Another Brooklyn Tweed Trunk Show! This Time It's LACE!

We've got another fantastic Brooklyn Tweed trunk show in the store - It's a gorgeous group of lace shawls, all designed  by Jared Flood, all using BT's signature Plains or Vale.  We're particularly taken with these four (clockwise from upper left): Girasole, Bridgewater, Lucca and Rock Island. As usual with Flood's designs, the beauty is in the details -- we've got this batch until June 10th... don't miss it!

Beginning Sock Class!

There's still room in Leah's incredibly popular class "Beginning Socks on Two Circs"! This class consists of three sessions held over three weeks. Check those calendars, make a plan and call to register! 615-354-1007

  • July 28th, 2pm-4pm; August 11th, 2pm-5pm & August 18th, 2pm-4pm

Can't make it in person!? Leah has (finally!) uploaded her Boot Camp Sock tutorial pattern to Ravelry! This pattern will take you step-by-step through the process of working socks on two circs. It's written for worsted weight yarn, which lessens the intimidation factor - and you'll make visible progress quite quickly! We used two skeins of West Yorkshire Spinners Aire Valley Aran (in Natural and Rum Paradise) for our sample.

But Wait! There Are Even MORE Classes!
