Halloween Kit

Halloween Sock Kit!

We're super excited about offering our first ever Halloween-themed kit! Back in July when we picked up our yarn from Amy at Stranded Dyeworks, we knew we needed to do something special with all those skeins of Oasis in "Fright Night"...and a Halloween Sock Kit was born!

Here's what each kit contains:

One skein Oasis sock from Stranded Dyeworks in "Fright Night." 464 yards 75/25 SW Merino/Nylon

One large box bag by BlackCatBags -- handmade by Vicki right here in Nashville! Cotton/Linen canvas with a contrasting quilting cotton lining, 10"x6"x6"

Osmosis sock pattern from Leah Oakley Originals -- designed by Leah right here in Nashville. An easy to memorize pattern, it's great for TV or social knitting. Each kit contains a printed copy, as well as a digital download code.

Stitch markers (set of 2), also handmade by Leah. Wire wrapped glass candy corn marker with coordinating beaded marker

Colt's Chocolate Bumble Bee: layers of buttery salted caramel and roasted pecans covered in pure milk chocolate. Made in Nashville by a genuine Hee Haw Honey! We've got a limited quantity of these, so click here to grab one for yourself...or a friend!

Woolfolk

New in the Shop: Woolfolk!

The number one request Haus customers make is for "soft" yarn. New-to-Haus Woolfolk hands down meets this criteria. It also combines the highest quality wool with ethical, sustainable practices, so there's every reason in the world to fall in love with it.

We're currently carrying four Woolfolk lines: Tynd (fingering weight), Sno (fingering weight), Tov (Aran weight) and Luft (chunky weight). It's heaven and we're thrilled to have it in the shop at last! We're busy whipping up some models...but in the meantime, come get your squish on! And if you need a little inspiration, Woolfolk just released their new Fall 17 collection.

September Knitalong

The Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong: September Edition!!

Join us in the store today Monday, September 11th, at 11:00 am as we kick off the next installment of the Yearlong Knitalong! This time around, we'll be working on the Laurus Hat! In three sizes and two heights — slouchy and fitted — Laurus is a simple, stylish, unisex beanie with a striped brim and moderate amount of colorwork.

Not interested in making the hat? You can still join the Yearlong Knitalong with an afghan block pattern from the Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan book. The Block-a-month Knitalong meets at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 11th.

Remember: attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free! As a genuine 'thank you!' for your participation, all materials purchased at Haus of Yarn that relate directly to each month's knitalong will qualify for double stamps on our Haus of Yarn Reward Card. DOUBLE STAMPS! We really do appreciate your participation and want to encourage as many of you to make as many of the monthly projects as possible. Earning double stamps will make it that much easier!

Not local? No worries! Join the Yearlong Knitalong virtually. Click here to join our Ravelry group and come knit along with us!

We'd love to see your projects! In process or completed...if you're on Instagram, join in anytime with #yearlongknitalong and #hausofyarntn.

Fixing Mistakes

Fixing Mistakes!

Let's face it: we ALL make mistakes when we knit. We drop a stitch or forget a yarnover and don't see it until the next row...and sometimes we're not quiiiite sure how to fix it! If this sounds a little too familiar to you, you need to take Sue's class! Saturday, September 23rd, 11am - 1pm, $45. Call the shop to register! 615-354-1007

*There's homework required for this one, you'll find the details here.
