December Knitalong

The Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong: December Edition!

Join us in the store next Monday, December 5th, at 11:00 am as we kick off our next installment of the Yearlong Knitalong! This time around, we'll be working on the Leafy Bandana Cowl. This small knitted cowl uses approximately 100 yards of a heavy worsted weight yarn and utilizes short-rows for shaping. We got so excited about this Yearlong Knitalong project, we made three different samples in three different yarns! Shown in the photo is Huasco Chunky, 100% fine merino with loads of color options to select from. Also on display in-store is a sample worked in Lujoso, an alpaca/wool/silk blend that is unbelievably soft and drapey. We also worked it up in Dream in Colors Canyon, a velvety soft 100% wool grown, spun and hand-dyed in the USA. If you haven't already stopped in to see them, what are you waiting for!? Not interested in making a cowl? You can still join the Yearlong Knitalong with an afghan block pattern from the Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan book. The Block-a-month Knitalong meets at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 5th.

Remember: attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free! As a genuine 'thank you!' for your participation, all materials purchased at Haus of Yarn that relate directly to each month's knitalong will qualify for double stamps on our Haus of Yarn Reward Card. DOUBLE STAMPS! We really do appreciate your participation and want to encourage as many of you to make as many of the monthly projects as possible. Earning double stamps will make it that much easier!

Not local? No worries! Join the Yearlong Knitalong virtually. Click here to join our group and come knit along with us!

We'd love to see your projects! In process or completed...if you're on Instagram, join in anytime with #yearlongknitalong and #hausofyarntn.

December Trunk Show

Two Trunk Shows: One Day -- One Parking Space!

Join us Saturday, December 3rd for not one, but two trunk shows! 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Both of these have great Holiday gift idea solutions!

Strands by Sallie

Last August, we hosted an amazing trunk show with Sallie from Strands by Sallie and we knew immediately we had to have her back! Sallie uses Austrian crystals, Swarovski pearls and semi-precious gemstones to create truly one-of-a-kind necklaces. Each one is hand beaded and knotted using a trademarked stitch on nylon and silk cording in a variety of colors. The result is a 48"-52" long strand of stunning jewels! Wear it wrapped triple for a necklace, doubled for a lariat, wrap it seven times for a bracelet or try four to five wraps to create an ankle bracelet.

Yarn, Yarn, Yarn

Wayne, our sales representative from Dream in Color, Feza and Blue Heron, will also be here with a pop-up shop of yarns from all three companies along with knitted samples and pattern suggestions! From Dream in Color, he'll be bringing Classy with Cashmere, Smooshy with Cashmere, Jilly and Cosette. From Feza, we're excited to see Artist Chunky in person and he'll also be bringing the Baby Gradient kits that we just can't keep in stock! They sell so quickly! And from Blue Heron, he'll have plenty of Rayon Metallic and Bulky Chenille on hand!

And, of course, we'll have mimosas and snacks! What's a Trunk Show without snacks?
