Quarry

Quickie Knits!

We have two fantastic suggestions for the people who've made your knit-worthy holiday gift knitting lists! Both are sampled in Quarry from Brooklyn Tweed; it's a roving-like yarn made with the same Targhee-Columbia fleece as Brooklyn Tweed's other yarns, Shelter and Loft. And like it's smaller siblings, Quarry is wonderfully light in weight!

The Arika Cowl, from Jane Richmond utilizes clever construction to transform a short scarf into a dynamic cowl. The cowl is fast and fun to knit and absolutely effortless to wear; it's an ideal "gift knit"... or instant gratification for yourself!

The Halus hat from Jared Flood features exaggerated texture with plump chains rising into the crown between ladders of easy lace. Quick and so much fun to knit from a single skein of Quarry, Halus is an ideal last-minute gift - and you may find you can't stop at one.

Advent Calendar

Opal Advent Calendars!

The Opal Advent calendars are here, y'all! Each Advent calendar features 24 doors, every one hiding a 15-gram mini-skein of yarn. Each yarn is different and the calendar as a whole holds all kinds of possibilities...how about a garland of sweaters? or socks? or mittens?

Jackson Yarn Bus

The Yarn Bus Goes to Jackson

Jackson Yarn Bus aficionados: please note that this is the last Yarn Bus visit before Christmas, so if there's anything specific you need, call the store (615-354-1007) and let us know by Thursday and we'll load it up! Mama Jo and Meg will see you Saturday morning. And don't forget: Meg has never been known to turn down a skinny vanilla latté...
