No, we're not talking about Election Day...we're talking about the Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong Selection Day! It's here! That's right....it's the 2016-2017 Yearlong Knitalong reveal day! Join us in-store TODAY at 11am to kick off our Yearlong Knitalong and/or at 1 pm for the Afghan Block-a-Month Knitalong! But, sorry -- we're all out of yard signs!
Announcing the 2016/2017 Yearlong Knitalong by Haus of Yarn!
It's here! It's here! For the past year, the entire Haus of Yarn team has been secretly knitting away, testing selections for the 2016/2017 Yearlong Knitalong and now we can finally start talking about them! An entire year of monthly knitalong projects have been chosen...each one different and specifically chosen to enhance and build on the skill set you already have. Beginning knitters and advanced experts alike will find something new and exciting to tackle as each month rolls around and at the end of the year, you'll have a big ol' stack of hand-knit heirlooms ready to gift...or keep for yourself!
The Details!
The last Haus of Yarn newsletter of each month will announce the project for the following month, which gives you plenty of time to swing by the shop and make color decisions and stock up on the necessary supplies. The collaged photo above gives you a little taste - a tantalizing hint! - of each project. But because we know that some of you can't stand the suspense, we've also listed them below so you can plan ahead -- and here's something new: we also have a display of all the projects in final knitted form set up at the shop...so stop by soon to see them all in person!
If you feel like you might need some support, we meet at 11am on the first (with a couple of exceptions!) Monday of every month at Haus of Yarn, so there'll always be plenty of complimentary advice and help on hand. If you're working on the Afghan Block-a-month Knitalong, we meet at 1pm on those same Mondays. Attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free! No need to sign up in advance, just show up!

Supporting your local yarn shop with both your presence and purchasing is vital in securing its status as a shared source of inspiration and community. When you purchase three addi® Rocket circular needles at Haus of Yarn, skacel will send you one free addi® Rocket circular in your choice of size/length. There is no limit to the number of free needles you can earn, so start building your collection today! This promotion is limited to in-store purchases only, through your authorized skacel addi® dealer (which would be us!)
Here are the details:
- For every three addi® Rocket fixed circular needles you purchase inside a North American LYS, you will receive one FREE addi® Rocket fixed circular needle of your choice by mail.
- The three addi® Rocket circulars may be obtained at different times and through different brick and mortar shops (online purchases excluded), but must be purchased between June 15th, 2016 and November 15th, 2016 to qualify. All requests need to be postmarked by November 30th, 2016.
- The original, shop-generated sales receipt/s clearly itemizing your addi® Rocket purchases and prices paid, must be submitted for each of the three needles – a single receipt containing multiple needles is acceptable. When it's time to get your free needles, you can download the necessary form here.
